Which? Awards 2025: winners revealed

We reveal the brands that scooped a prestigious award for going above and beyond for customers this year, including Beko, BMW and Braun

The winners of this year's Which? Awards have been revealed, and we're thrilled to celebrate the companies that really put customers first.

These prestigious awards celebrate brands that are leading the way in championing consumers, consistently offering exceptional products and services, while upholding the highest standards of customer care.

This year, there were 13 categories. Alongside the usual categories, we introduced three new ones: Electric Car Brand of the Year, Health & Personal Care Brand of the Year and Renewables Installer of the Year.

The Which? Awards are completely independent – brands can't nominate themselves or influence who wins.

The winning brands were announced at a ceremony in London on 21 May, hosted by TV presenter Vernon Kay. Below, we list all of this year's winners and shortlisted brands.

Which? Baby & Child Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Nuna
  • Also shortlisted: BeSafe, Cybex, Thule, VTech

Nuna stood out for its top performance across a range of different types of baby and child products.

It especially impressed the judges with the launch of its innovative Pipa Urbn, an infant carrier car seat that bypasses the need for an Isofix base, while still providing child protection that goes above and beyond.

Which? Banking Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Nationwide
  • Shortlist: American Express, First Direct

Nationwide scooped the award for Banking Brand of the Year thanks to its superb performance across current accounts, savings, mortgages and credit cards.

It also stands out as the only current account provider willing to maintain its branch network.

Beko won thanks to its track record of producing products such as dishwashers, tumble dryers and washing machines that offer great value for money without compromising on quality and performance.

It also has a five-star reliability rating for freezers.

Which? Customer Service Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Zest Car Rental
  • Shortlist: First Direct, John Lewis, NFU Mutual, Screwfix

Zest Car Rental beat brands from across a range of sectors in our customer service award.

Its customers consistently say that Zest goes out of its way to resolve their problems - and this is reflected in our survey results. It also offers very clear pricing.

Which? Electric Car Brand of the Year

  • Winner: BMW
  • Shortlist: Genesis, Kia, Vauxhall

BMW is the first ever winner of Which?'s new Electric Car Brand of the Year Award.

The brand impressed our judges with its passion for electric vehicle innovation and performance. BMW's range of electric vehicles consistently scores highly in Which?'s stringent lab tests.

With the government’s mandate for 100% of new vehicles to be zero-emission by 2035, this award has been introduced to recognise manufacturers driving forward this new age of motoring.

Which? Health & Personal Care Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Braun
  • Shortlist: Dyson, Lidl, Philips

Another newcomer for this year's awards is the Health & Personal Care Brand of the Year category, where Braun comes out on top.

Braun's products offer impressive performance and value for money. Which? tested electric shavers, beard trimmers and epilators and found in each category that Braun produced the best product in the test.

This award was introduced to recognise great manufacturers in the increasingly crowded health and personal-care market.

Which? Home Entertainment Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Samsung
  • Shortlist: Bose, JBL, LG, Sony

Winner Samsung triumphed for creating high-quality products that stand out when it comes to technology, design and accessibility.

Impressively, half of its soundbars tested in 2024 were named Which? Best Buys. Our judges said Samsung was 'a remarkably consistent brand' and produced top-tier home entertainment products.

Which? Insurance Brand of the Year

  • Winner: NFU Mutual
  • Shortlist: LV=GI

NFU Mutual takes the trophy in this category for an impressive fourth year running.

Its policies impress on paper, and claimants feel that it delivers real value with a high satisfaction rate, particularly for car and home insurance.

Which? Renewables Installer Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Kimbletech Ltd
  • Shortlist: Fusion Renewables Ltd, So Go Solar Ltd, The Solar & Renewables Co. Ltd

The Renewables Installer category focuses on firms that provide green energy solutions for homes and businesses.

Kimbletech is a family-run business specialising in solar panel and battery installations, ensuring high-quality services and customer satisfaction.

Based in Buckinghamshire, it won the award for its outstanding approach to customer education, sustainability, and energy efficiency. It engages with its audience in innovative ways, particularly through its website, where it has a section on the benefits of going green and an interactive finance calculator.

Which? Retailer of the Year

  • Winner: John Lewis
  • Shortlist: AO, Euronics, Richer Sounds, The Nursery Store

John Lewis wins Retailer of the Year. It is loved by shoppers buying a wide range of products – from wireless speakers to wardrobes.

It takes a special retailer to wow customers so consistently across such a vast array of products, and John Lewis does this in a way that offers great value for money and first-class customer service.

Which? Travel Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Trailfinders
  • Shortlist: Jet2, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Saga Ocean Cruises, Zest Car Rental

Travel company Trailfinders wins this award, topping just about every category it's rated in - from beach holidays to escorted tours.

It specialises in tailor-made or far-flung trips and consistently stands out for its excellent customer service. It is a brilliant option for planning a holiday.

Which? Trusted Trader of the Year

  • Winner: LCM Flat Roofing
  • Shortlist: AJT Showers, Balhousie Glazing, Easystep Stairlifts, Regal Kitchens

Gloucestershire-based LCM Flat Roofing is a family-run roofing business that covers all aspects of roofing, including fascias, soffits, guttering, chimneys and conservatory conversions. It provides outstanding customer service and delivers great work, with reviews frequently mentioning how its staff go above and beyond.

Beyond commercial success, LCM Flat Roofing has shown a true commitment to giving back, such as finding time to fix a leaking roof for a veterinary hospital despite a packed schedule.

Which? Utilities Brand of the Year

  • Winner: Zen Internet
  • Shortlist: Octopus Energy, Smarty, Talkmobile

Broadband, mobile network and energy companies are all eligible for this award - but the winner is Zen Internet.

Zen has consistently retained its spot at (or near) the top of our customer score rankings.

It is one of a small handful of providers that was always on the right side of Which?'s The Right to Connect campaign because - since 2018 - it has fixed its prices during consumer contracts. Not only this, but it also provides great value for money.

Celebrating brands

Winners received a trophy and are entitled to use a Which? Awards winner endorsement logo across their marketing for a year.

Anabel Hoult, Which? Chief Executive, said: 'The Which? Awards celebrate brands that are truly providing outstanding products, services and value for consumers.

'This feels especially important as consumer budgets are tight, meaning every purchase is important and considered. I want to extend a huge congratulations to all the winners - they should be very proud of themselves as our standards are incredibly high.'

How we select Which? Awards winners

Like all Which? activities, the awards are completely independent, and brands cannot nominate themselves or influence award outcomes.

Shortlists are decided by a rigorous set of criteria, including brand performance in Which? testing and surveys, reliability, analysis of provider data and results from investigations.

Which? is a not-for-profit organisation that works for you. Visit our page on who we are to learn more about the work we do.
