What makes a Which? Recommended Provider?

Which? Recommended Providers are the cream of the crop, and the accolade is only given to broadband companies that achieve a customer score of 70% or above.

That's not all. We know that price is important, so companies can only be Recommended Providers if they charge a reasonable price for their services. If they charge too much they're not eligible, whatever score they receive in the survey.

SSE broadband deals

SSE offers two fibre broadband packages, both of which have an 18-month fixed term. They require you to pay line rental to SSE, and there's no option to add a TV service.

SSE’s prices are usually fairly competitive if you bundle in an additional service, so they're likely to be even more appealing to existing SSE energy customers.

All packages include unlimited downloads, although SSE does apply traffic management, and will slow down speeds if customers use more data than it deems 'reasonable'.

To compare prices and see more details on each package, read our SSE broadband package reviews.

SSE broadband speeds

SSE offers two fibre packages, with average speeds of either 35Mbps or 63Mbps depending on the package selected.
