Electric shaver deals
An electric shaver is a classic last-minute gift, and there are plenty on offer to choose from in the run-up to Father’s Day.
The Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT is a foil electric shaver that can be used wet or dry and comes with five comb attachments and a precision trimmer. It’s currently on offer at Argos and Boots for £59.99, a £30 saving on the RRP, but Tesco is selling it for just £45.
Read our full review of the Braun Series 3 Shave&Style 3010BT to see if it’s actually a gift worth giving.
Boots’ ‘Offer of the Week’ on the Braun CoolTec CT2s Wet&Dry shaver could be a contender. Boots is heralding a massive £120 discount on this shaver and selling it for £79.99. It’s five years since it was released and it isn’t very widely available anymore, but you’re unlikely to find it anywhere near as cheap as this anytime soon.
We tried it out when it first went on sale, so be sure to check out our first look review of the Braun CoolTec CT2s before committing to buy.
If price isn’t a concern, you may find yourself considering the Braun Series 9 9290cc, which, with a RRP of £375, is one of the most expensive electric shavers on the market. It has four cutting elements in the shaving head, a digital display in the handle to show you how much battery time is left and comes with a cleaning dock that doubles as a charger.
If you decide on this one and absolutely need it for Sunday, then Superdrug is the place to go. It is selling it for £220, compared with the Boots offer of £250.
But bear in mind you can currently pick it up online from Amazon and Robert Dyas (online only) for around £210, so you could save even more if you’re able to wait a couple of days more before giving your gift.
Avoid splashing out on a dud and read our full review of the Braun Series 9 9290cc to see if it makes the grade as a Best Buy.
Electric toothbrush deals
Perhaps not the first thing that springs to mind when you’re considering a Father’s Day gift, but there are some decent deals knocking about that could be worth a look if Pops needs a new brush for his chops.
The Oral B Genius 9000 Black is a smart electric toothbrush that uses Bluetooth to connect to the Oral-B smartphone app. The app has a full range of functions designed to give users a more comprehensive brushing experience.
It’s currently on offer for £100 at Argos and Superdrug. That’s a decent saving, and it hasn’t been much cheaper than that at any point in the last 12 months. But be sure to read our review of the Oral-B Genius 9000 to find out if it will be £100 well spent or wasted.
If you’re looking to spend less, there are plenty of options. Asda’s Pure Hygiene may not be on offer right now, but at £14 it could still represent a bit of a bargain. And if half-price deals do float your boat, you can buy the Oral B Pro 600 Sensi Ultrathin from Robert Dyas for £20, down from £49.99, or from Boots for £24.99.

Battling against the Home Mini for a spot in your home is Amazon’s Echo Dot smart hub. Amazon has it on sale for £40, down from £50.
