Get a quoteFounded in Sweden in 1890, Agria began providing pet insurance to UK customers in 2009.
Agria only offers lifetime policies, which cover dogs, cats, horses and rabbits.
It offers four levels of cover for dogs (Lifetime Lite, Lifetime, Lifetime Plus and Lifetime Premium). The same levels are available for cats, plus two extra policies (Home Cat Lifetime and Home Cat Lifetime Plus) aimed specifically at indoor cats.
These Home Cat policies strip out some elements of cover that relate to travel (such as quarantine fees) or the pet going missing (such as advertising or rewards).
We've rated dozens of insurers on their policies and, where possible, claims service. Members can log in to read our full reviews. If you're not already a member, join Which? and get full access to these results and all our reviews.

You can claim through the Agria website or you can ask your vet to make a claim for you. This is recommended as your vet will have your pet's medical history and treatment details to hand.
If you make a claim yourself, make sure you have a copy of the pet's medical details and any paperwork or invoices detailing the costs of its treatment.
