Petgevity pet insurance review

Formerly known as Petsure, Petgevity is a specialist in covering pets with pre-existing medical conditions. As of 12 March 2025, it rebranded to Petgevity following an intellectual property dispute. 

Unlike most pet insurance policies, Petgevity will consider covering medical conditions your pet has had prior to the start of the policy. These must have shown no signs or symptoms or required no treatment, checkups or monitoring within the past two years.

It offers lifetime insurance (meaning you can continuously claim for covered conditions over the pet's lifetime) with 15 tiers of cover. These provide cover for annual vet fees of between £1,000 and £15,000.

Petgevity is part of the Staysure Group, most well known as a travel insurer. Its pet insurance policies are underwritten by the Ergo Group.
