Tesco sells pet insurance covering cats and dogs. It offers nine levels of lifetime cover (this will cover your pet's conditions for as long as the insurance is in place), with cover ranging from £2,000 to £11,000.

You can alternatively choose its Maximum Benefit policy, which has a limited amount payable for any single condition over the pet's life, and its Time Limited policy, which will only pay for any single condition for up to 12 months.

Tesco's policy is underwritten by Pinnacle.
