LV General Insurance has been part of Allianz since 2020.

It offers a range of lifetime policies for cats and dogs, with cover levels ranging from £1,000 to £12,000. It also sells time-limited pet insurance, which will pay for the treatment of a condition for up to 12 months.

LV: how can you claim?

LV says that claims are usually processed more quickly when the vet claims on your behalf. If they can't or won't do this, though, you can fill in a claim form on LV's website.

If you make a claim yourself, make sure you have a copy of the pet's medical details and any paperwork or invoices detailing the costs of its treatment.
