Five surprising things we love about the new iCandy Peach 2019

Our exclusive first look reveals the latest updates to the iconic iCandy pushchair

Prepare yourself – the iCandy Peach, the brand’s flagship convertible single-to-double pushchair has had an exciting new makeover for 2019.

We’ve been lucky enough to get hands-on with the iCandy Peach 2019 in advance of its launch.

Go to our iCandy Peach 2019 first look review to find out our first impressions.

Here are five exciting changes you’ll find on this madeover iCandy pushchair:

1. New fabrics

iCandy is introducing two new fabrics to the Peach 2019, including a soft, luxurious check and a sophisticated densely-woven twill, both of which are bang on trend for Autumn/Winter 2019.

The check fabric is available in navy or grey, and the twill in black or grey for the initial launch, with more colours including a navy and a peach twill due to be rolled out later on in the year.

Parents will be relieved to hear that the fabric doesn’t crease when folded.

Leatherette detailing and trims are a nice touch on the handlebar, bumper bar and the zip pocket on the back of the seat.

2. Spacious and padded seat unit

The 2019 Peach has a spacious-looking seat. iCandy claims to have added even more padding into the seat unit.

It has a 25kg weight limit, large enough to accommodate a seven-year-old and significantly more than most pushchairs which have a maximum weight limit of 15kg (about three-years-old).

3. An updated carrycot

As with the iCandy Lime and the iCandy Peach All-Terrain, the Peach 2019 comes with a frame that you can convert into a seat unit or a carrycot using the separate fabrics included. This is handy as it means you don’t need to pay extra or find space for a bulky carrycot.

The new Peach carrycot is larger than ever before, so your baby shouldn’t outgrow it before he or she reaches six months.

iCandy claims to have improved the carrycot assembly, making it a quicker and easier process for parents.

Slim bars have been added into the fabric of the apron to provide extra protection and the plush soft-touch fleece feels very luxurious.

The carrycot mattress is ventilated and the carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping, offering parents a useful solution if you’re spending a night or two away from home.

4. Matching Peach 2019 bag

If you like to co-ordinate, you’ll be delighted to hear iCandy plans to launch a matching Peach 2019 bag using the same twill and check fabrics and leatherette trims as with the pushchair.

iCandy has a wide range of different bags, priced from £80 up to £200.

It’s not yet confirmed how much the matching bag will cost, but we’re excited to see what it looks like.

5. Price

Although it’s strictly not a change, the news that the RRP isn’t going up despite the updates and improvements will be welcome news to parents.

The Peach is certainly not the cheapest pushchair, but as it’s travel-system compatible and can be used as a single or a double pushchair it offers parents versatility.

Plus it comes with a carrycot, raincover, car seat adaptors and seat elevators included in price. These raise one seat to create more space between the two seats if you use the pushchair as a double buggy.

In single mode using the seat elevators means you don’t have to bend as much to interact with your child, and the higher position enables your pushchair to double up as an impromptu high chair at cafés.

iCandy Peach 2019 pushchair bundles start from £999.
