What’s an Inghams holiday like?

We first recommended holidays with Inghams in 1976 and our survey respondents particularly loved its summer Stay & Walk locations in the lakes and mountains of Andorra, Austria, France, Italy, Madeira, Norway, Slovenia and Switzerland.

There are no set itineraries when you book a walking holiday. You simply pick a beautiful base, then stroll or hike at your own pace, with the option to join expert-led walks if you feel like it.Inghams received impressive ratings with four stars out of five in most categories (including value for money) and a full five stars for description matching reality – which means you know exactly what you’re getting.

Inghams’ customer service is very good. One holidaymaker told us that the firm ‘communicated clearly, provided regular updates and arranged alternatives to minimise the impact of our travel delay’.

In our separate ski provider survey, the company received lots of praise. Customers told us that its staff and services were fantastic, and it scored five stars for its level of organisation.  Find out more in our full guide to the best ski holiday companies.

Inghams is a Which? Recommended Provider (WRP), which means that, as well as being one of the most highly rated holiday firms in our survey, it has also guaranteed to offer a full refund or free changes if the Foreign Office (FCDO) changes its advice about a destination.

It has also promised that in 2025, it won’t apply any additional surcharges to holidays that have already been booked.

Should I book a holiday with Inghams?

Absolutely. Inghams is top of the ski holidays and the smaller/independent providers table. Its resort holidays in Europe are an excellent option.
