What’s Trailfinders like?

Everything Trailfinders does, it does well. From beach/resort holidays and city breaks to self-guided and escorted tours, the company is highly rated by its customers – and even tops the results table for our survey of city break providers

Whether energetic adventures in faraway locations appeal or you simply want to lie on a sun lounger on an exotic beach, Trailfinders can be relied upon to arrange exactly the package holiday or escorted tour you’re after. The company is best known, though, for its bespoke travel arrangements, building complex itineraries to individual specifications. As a result, Trailfinders holidays don’t come cheap, but customers appear to be happy, rating escapes four stars out of five for value for money.

Travellers were impressed with customer service, too. You can’t book online. Instead, a travel consultant will help you plan your perfect trip over the phone or in store. Feedback highlighted that advisors were ‘knowledgeable,’ ‘thorough’ and ‘helpful’. That’s usually down to the fact that someone in the company will have visited the destination you’re hoping to travel to, so they have insider knowledge of the area. Consultants between them have visited over 96% of the world's countries – impressive.

It’s not a one-off for Trailfinders to perform well either. Every year the travel company lands itself a flurry of four-star and five-star ratings in our survey. What’s also particularly impressive is that it’s one of the few companies that ring-fences customer money in a separate account, so customers know their cash is safe.

Did Trailfinders refund customers during the coronavirus crisis?

Yes. We initially received reports of slight delays on refunds, but Trailfinders has since committed to paying customer refunds within 14 days. Overall, it did much better than most.

Should I book with Trailfinders?

Yes. Trailfinders is a good all-rounder and for its package holidays, escorted tours and self-guided tours, the company scored top marks for customer service. Equally impressive was the organisation of these holidays. Plus, your money is safe with this trustworthy brand.
