What’s a Travel Counsellors holiday like?
Travel Counsellors is a bit different to the other providers in our survey. You won’t find any holidays on its website, because it only sells bespoke breaks according to your specific requirements. Nor will you find a general booking phone number. Instead you can choose someone nearby from its national network of more than 2,000 independent advisers, each with their own experience and specialist areas.
Your personal counsellor runs their own business as an independent travel adviser. They then work with you until you’ve got every detail of your holiday itinerary right. This personal touch impressed respondents, who commented on agents’ ‘knowledge and experience of the areas we wanted to go to and the quick response times, both before and during the holiday’.
One customer told us that the advisers 'look at every little detail of the holiday with you'. No wonder it received five stars out of five for customer service.
It also received a four-star rating in every other category, including description matching reality and value for money. One customer told us 'Nothing was too much trouble. The choice of hotels was excellent and the transfers were seamless. It was the most relaxing holiday that I can remember. I can't recommend them highly enough'.
Travel Counsellors is the third best-rated company in our tailor-made holiday providers table and in January 2026 it became a Which? Recommended Provider when it guaranteed not to apply surcharges to its tailor-made holidays.
