Inntravel refund and cancellation policy rated

There are plenty of ways your holiday could be disrupted or cancelled, from traffic lights changing to a future lockdown, so it’s crucial you book with a provider that has an excellent flexible booking policy. Which? analysis of more than 80 holiday company policies found Inntravel has one of the best.

You’ll get your money back if the country you are travelling to is moved to red, as well as to amber if you’re unvaccinated. While you can get a refund if NHS test and trace tells you to self-isolate, there may be some costs that aren’t recoverable.

What's Inntravel like?

Inntravel is fully deserving of its place at the top of our table of self-guided tour providers. Customers appreciated how well organised its holidays are. One satisfied traveller said their holiday was ‘beautifully planned and delivered’, while another said Inntravel’s organisation of their trip was ‘second to none’. The off-the-beaten track itineraries and comprehensive touring notes also won plaudits from travellers, with several telling us that their trip was personally tailored to them.

Its five-star customer service means that problems will be resolved efficiently. One customer experienced a problem during their holiday that was not Inntravel’s fault, but it still ‘sorted it out quickly and refunded me when I returned home for the missed activities’.

At an average cost of £150 a day for a short-haul break, it’s not the cheapest company around, but with its four stars out of five value-for-money rating, you certainly won’t be throwing your cash away when you book with Inntravel. And because the descriptions of the holidays it offers perfectly match the reality, you know exactly what you’re going to get before parting with your money.

The company scored a slightly lower three stars out of five for accommodation, but that’s no lower than any of the other self-guided tour operators we’ve reviewed. Many customers were wowed with the quality of hotels and B&Bs it offers, although several others simply described the accommodation as ‘good’, which may explain why it didn’t score higher in this category.

Should I book with Inntravel?

Inntravel offers very well-organised itineraries. If you’re keen to explore at your own pace and have the budget available for its holidays, we think you’re likely to have an exceptional trip. That’s why we’ve made it a Which? Recommended Provider.
