Which? tries out new Quinny Buzz Xtra pushchair

Quinny Buzz Xtra in Purple Pace‘Purple pace’ – just one of the Quinny Buzz Xtra colours

The Quinny Buzz Xtra is the latest version of the popular pushchair brand’s line of Buzz travel systems. The buggy is described as an all-terrain stroller for urban parents – our researcher has taken it out and about to see whether it’s any good.

Costing from £450, the Quinny Buzz Xtra is designed for use from birth until your child weighs 15kg, or is around three-and-a-half years old. Quinny says the main differences between this and older incarnations, such as the , are that it’s got a better hood and bigger shopping basket.

Versatile Quinny pushchair

The Quinny Buzz Xtra is a versatile pushchair. You can insert an inlay to make it suitable for newborns (but we’ll need to test whether it reclines to the exact angle required to protect a baby’s spine when we get it in our lab).

Alternatively, you can team it with Quinny’s foldable carrycot (sold separately) or a or child car seat. It can also face forwards or towards you.

Quinny says the Buzz Xtra can pop up from being folded at the push of a button – this is just one of the things that our researcher tried out when she looked at the pushchair. Our first look review also explores how easy and comfortable the buggy is to push, whether it’s practical for use in towns and cities, and if the new shopping basket and hood are any better than those on the previous model.

Pushchair reviews

At Which? we’ve tested hundreds of pushchairs, checking them for everything from safety and durability to how comfortable they are for their mini-passengers.

We combine extensive scientific lab tests with insights from our parent panel, who road test pushchairs with their children to give us a real insight into what they’re like for mums, dads and little ones. This enables us to give each pushchair a score – and name the very best as Best Buys.

In our pushchair reviews, you can search by brand, type of buggy or our ratings to find the very best pushchair for you and your little one.
