What does More Than offer?
More Than was established in 2001 and also provides car, home, travel and life insurance policies.
More Than offers insurance for cats and dogs and its policies are underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Ltd.
We've reviewed the following types of policies:
Lifetime cover pet insurance
Lifetime cover is the most comprehensive pet insurance on the market and pays out for ongoing issues your pet may have throughout its lifetime.
Non-lifetime cover pet insurance
Non-lifetime cover is less comprehensive, covers a limited time period and excludes certain conditions after you hit your claims limit.
Accident-only pet insurance
Accident-only pet insurance provides a fixed sum of money for each accidental injury to help pay for your pet’s treatment. It is the cheapest type of pet insurance policy but excludes cover for illness entirely.

To help you find the best pet insurance policy, Which? goes the extra mile to sort the best from the worst.
How we analyse pet insurance
We analyse and rate 21 elements of cat insurance policies and 24 elements of dog insurance policies - plus what each pays in vets fees - to come up with the overall policy score.
Different policy elements are enhanced or reduced within the policy score, to reflect the relative importance of each. For example, the amount a policy pays for vets fees and how this money is made available counts for more in the score than the amount provided for holiday cancellation.
