What does Waggel's pet insurance offer?

A relatively new brand, Waggel has set itself up to be a 'straightforward' alternative to the often confusing array of pet insurance options. It provides one lifetime policy, covering dogs and cats. You customise the amount it'll pay out (£1,000-£10,000) to suit your needs and budget.

It's underwritten by Red Sands.

How we analyse pet insurance

We analyse and rate 21 elements of cat insurance policies and 24 elements of dog insurance policies – plus how much each pays in vets fees – to come up with the overall policy score.

Different policy elements are enhanced or reduced within the policy score, to reflect the relative importance of each. For example, the amount a policy pays for vet fees and how this money is made available counts for more in the score than the amount provided for holiday cancellation.
