'Never knowingly undersold on quality, service and price' is the John Lewis promise and John Lewis promises to check and match the prices of 25 leading retailers even when they are running offers. John Lewis says this means you can be confident that you are paying a competitive price - but it does not lead the charge towards the lowest possible prices in the same way that online retailers do.
Even so there are some good deals to be found, which we've drawn together so you don't have to trawl the John Lewis shelves to find the best bargains.

Best TV deals at John Lewis
LG 43QNED82A6B
Average price in the past six months: £502
Cheapest price in the past six months: £399*

- 43-inch 4K TV
- QLED display
- Supports HDR10 and HLG formats
We like: Simple to use
We don't like: Poor motion handling at SD
The 43-inch 43QNED82A6B is the smallest and cheapest of LG’s QNED range. QNED is unique to LG, but it basically means it has quantum dots to boost colour.
It’s more basic than other QNED TVs, which keeps costs low, but still has a few features you don't always find on TVs in this price range: support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast, recording and pausing live TV with the built-in PVR, a microphone in the remote that enables you to control some parts of the TV with your voice.
Should you opt for this discounted 43-inch model? Discover all you need to know in our LG 43QNED82A6B review.
LG 43NANO80A6B
Average price in the past six months: £363
Cheapest price in the past six months: £269*

- 43-inch 4K TV
- LCD display
- Supports HDR10 and HLG formats
We like: LG’s operating system and remote work well together
We don't like: Sound lacks dynamism
This entry-level TV from LG incorporates the brand's Nanocell tech, which is designed to boost colour – that's unusual for a television that you can buy for less than £400.
For this price, you shouldn't expect a whole host of bells and whistles (gaming features are a little limited, for example), but there's still the option to use voice controls through LG's excellent Magic Remote, and recording is available, too.
Read our LG 43NANO80A6B review to discover whether this is a bargain TV worth bagging.
Samsung QE43QN90F
Average price in the past six months: £953
Cheapest price in the past six months: £699*

- 43-inch 4K TV
- Neo QLED display
- Supports HDR10, HLG and HDR10+ formats
We like: Intuitive operating system
We don't like: Fiddly remote
The QE43QN90F is a Neo QLED TV with a backlight stuffed with miniscule bulbs to improve contrast and push brightness.
Samsung has given it the high-end treatment, too, so there are nice extras for gamers such as the 165Hz screen, FreeSync and variable refresh rate tech, all for a cheaper price than an OLED from LG or Samsung.
Samsung’s Tizen operating system is as slick as ever, but the remote could do with more buttons.
Check out the full Samsung QE43QN90F review to see how this one scored in our tests.
Best tablet deals at John Lewis
Apple iPad Air (2025)
Average price in the past six months: £594
Cheapest price in the past six months: £499*

- 11-inch and 13-inch versions
- Starts at 8GB Ram and 128GB storage
- M3 processor
We like: Upgraded processor
We didn't like: Processor aside, not the biggest upgrade
Sporting the powerful M3 chipset, the iPad Air has never been more powerful. The Air sits in the mid-range of tablets. Unless you're an absolute power-user who absolutely needs the souped-up iPad Pro, you will find this a more than capable tablet for your needs.
The Air comes with Apple Intelligence (AI). So if you don't need this, consider saving some money and getting the cheaper, standard iPad instead.
Read our Apple 11-inch iPad Air (2025) review to see our verdict.
Honor Pad X8a
Average price in the past six months: £123
Cheapest price in the past six months: £95*

You can buy it from John Lewis for £109, or compare prices at other retailers:
- 11-inch screen
- 8300mAh battery
- Stereo speakers
We like: It does the basics well
We didn't like: The screen could be brighter
Even though it's a tablet that's very much designed with the budget market in mind, the Honor Pad X8a still shows just how far that sector has come as it offers up a large 11-inch LCD panel for not that much money.
With a 90Hz refresh rate, the tablet is capable of providing a smooth feeling of motion as you scroll through apps or play less taxing games on the go.
The inclusion of four speakers to create a stereo sound effect is helpful if you're watching some entertainment at home and you don't have a pair of earbuds or headphones to hand.

Best laptop deals at John Lewis
Asus 16-inch Vivobook 16 (X1607QA)
Average price in the past six months: £592
Cheapest price in the past six months: £429*

- Snapdragon X processor (X-X126100)
- 16GB Ram
- 512GB SSD
We like: Onboard AI
We don't like: Touchpad isn't the best
Asus claims that this mid-range 16-inch Vivobook 16 (X1607QA) is ‘more intelligent, more productive, more secure’. And, considering the price, the laptop has an impressive array of features and specifications - including a rapid Snapdragon X-X126100 processor.
It also has a powerful dedicated neural processing unit (NPU), which qualifies it as a Copilot+ PC. This means it can perform certain types of AI-enhanced tasks without the need for an online AI service. Weighing 1.9kg, it’s designed to be used primarily on a desk – that's quite a substantial weight to carry around in a bag.
This laptop features a Snapdragon X processor, meaning you should check that the manufacturers of any peripherals you use offer drivers that support ARM-based processors on Windows.
Read our full Asus 16-inch Vivobook 16 (X1607QA) review to see how it performed in our extensive tests.
If you like this laptop but want a lighter (just over 1.5kg) version, the 14-inch model – the Asus Vivobook 14 (X1407QA) – is on sale at John Lewis for £449.

Cheapest price in the past six months: £699*

Available for £699 from John Lewis and Currys
- Apple M2 processor
- 8GB Ram
- 256GB SSD
We like: Quiet when working hard
We don't like: Battery not as good as predecessor
This 2022-generation MacBook has a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display and a processor with eight cores, four of which are high-speed and four of which handle lightweight tasks in the background. At 1.22kg and 1.13cm thick, it makes a great portable companion to join you on your travels.
There's the choice of four finishes: midnight, space grey, silver and starlight.

Apple 14-inch MacBook Pro M5
Average price in the past six months: £1,597
Cheapest price in the past six months: £1,449*

- Apple M5 processor
- 16GB Ram
- 512GB storage
We like: Lightning-fast processor
We don’t like: No full-sized USB ports or face scanner
This 14-inch laptop from Apple was released in October and is getting a discount for the first time thanks to online retailer Box.
It has a powerful Apple M5 processor, 16GB of Ram and a 512GB SSD. There are three USB-C ports (super-high-speed Thunderbolt 4 data transfer format), an HDMI port, SD card reader and 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack. It also has a MagSafe 3 charging port and a fingerprint reader for swift, secure login.
It weighs 1.54kg - this is heavy for a 14-inch laptop, but is due in part to its all-metal aluminium body and glass screen.
To find out whether this laptop is worth your money, see our expert Apple MacBook Pro M5 review.
Best Bluetooth speaker deals at John Lewis
Sony ULT FIELD 3
Average price in the past six months: £144
Cheapest price in the past six months: £98*

- Large portable speaker
- 11 x 26 x 8cm (HxWxD)
- Weight: 1.15kg
We like: It's quick
We don't like: Fairly bulky
Sony’s pleasingly chunky little UTL FIELD 3 speaker is discreet enough to sit on a bookshelf, but has a battery to take it on the go. You can pair multiple speakers together in a party mode to play the same music around your home. It charges with a USB C cable (provided). It’s dustproof and don't worry about taking it outside in muggy weather, it can be submerged in a metre of water for up to 30 minutes without breaking.
We’ve been impressed with Sony’s Bluetooth efforts in the past, and its audio excels in other areas, too, so it certainly has the prowess to get big sound from small packages.
Check out our full Sony ULT FIELD 3 review to see if this portable speaker shows Sony at its best.

Lowest price in the past six months: £89.99*

- 8-inch display
- Wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity
- 13Mp camera
We like: Alexa voice control, easy to set up and use
We don’t like: Screen can be a fingerprint magnet
The third generation of Amazon’s smart display has a familiar wedge-shaped design and is a little larger than the previous version. On the top of the device, you’ll spot a mechanical privacy shutter for the camera, plus buttons to mute the microphone or adjust the volume.
You can tune into the radio, listen to music streaming services or audiobooks (these may require subscriptions), ask for weather updates, connect smart home devices and more.
Read our Amazon Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) review.
Marshall Acton III
Average price in the past six months: £242
Cheapest price in the past six months: £179*

- Home speaker
- Mains powered
- 16.9 x 26 x 15cm (H x W x D)
We like: Iconic design
We don't like: No wi-fi connection – Bluetooth only
This speaker shares a design similar to Marshall's iconic amplifiers. It's the smallest model in Marshall's home speaker range.
Just know that you can't stream music natively with it, you'll need to connect your smartphone via Bluetooth or usings the 3.5mm line in socket. While it doesn't have a remote control, you can use a companion app to tweak the sound to your preferences.
It looks good, but does it sound good? Read our full Marshall Acton III review to find out.

We don't like: Ear hook design won't be for everyone
A pair of wireless earbuds with ear hooks to keep them securely in place, Apple's Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 could be worth considering for workouts. They're water and sweat-resistant, so should endure a heavy gym session, and there's even a heart rate monitor built in to give you real-time readings on your phone.
