Best tech deals at John Lewis
'Never knowingly undersold on quality, service and price' is the John Lewis promise and John Lewis promises to check and match the prices of 25 leading retailers even when they are running offers. John Lewis says this means you can be confident that you are paying a competitive price - but it does not lead the charge towards the lowest possible prices in the same way that online retailers do.
Even so there are some good deals to be found, which we've drawn together so you don't have to trawl the John Lewis shelves to find the best bargains.
* References to ‘Average price' and 'Cheapest price' are based on Which? market knowledge and information supplied by our partners. Prices are checked for the six calendar months prior to publication. Not all retailers are included in our checks.
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (2022, M2)
Average price in the past six months: £852
Cheapest price in the past six months: £769*

We tested the 256GB version – the MacBook on sale for £799 at John Lewis gives you 512GB SSD (Apple charges £200 extra for this on the latest M4 MacBooks).
- Apple M2 processor
- 8GB Ram
- 256GB SSD
We like: Quiet when working hard
We don't like: If you don't view the screen straight-on, some dimming is slightly noticeable when you move to the sides.
This 2022-generation MacBook has a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display and a processor with eight cores, four of which are high-speed and four of which handle lightweight tasks in the background. At 12.4kg and 1.13cm thick, it makes a great portable companion.
There's the choice of four finishes: midnight, space grey, silver and starlight.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
Average price in the past six months: £1,097
Cheapest price in the past six months: £799*

The best offer we've found for Samsung's high-end tablet comes from John Lewis, which is now selling the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra for just £799.
- 14.6-inch screen
- 12GB Ram
- 256GB of storage
We like: Huge and bright display
We don't like: Expensive, even on a deal - so consider whether you really need all this power
This is the highest-powered, largest, and most expensive Android tablet from Samsung's range. The screen has a luxurious number of pixels (2960 x 1848 resolution), a top-of-the-range MediaTek chip, alongside a generous 12GB Ram. It's a tablet made for more than just web browsing and video watching activities - it's for creative work, like video editing and complex image design.
If you're not sure whether the already substantial 256GB of storage is enough, you can expand it later with a micro-SD card. It comes with a USB-C charging cable – you don't get a plug.

Samsung QE43QN90F
Average price in the past six months: £952
Cheapest price in the past six months: £749*

- 43-inch 4K TV
- Neo QLED display
- Supports HDR10, HLG and HDR10+ formats
We like: Smoothly handled motion
We don't like: Harsh treble
We’re always happy to see small high-end TVs because there was a time you couldn’t get them. Brands just didn’t bother, but that’s changed and the 43-inch QE43QN90F is one such example from one of the biggest manufacturers in the business.
Samsung’s Tizen operating system is running the show and you use its pared-back One Remote to control things. There's a microphone included in it, too, letting you talk to Bixby (Samsung’s voice assistant) and control many aspects of the TV with your voice, from changing channels and inputs to searching for content.
So how good is this premium 43-inch television? Read our Samsung QE43QN90F review to find out.
Best home and kitchen deals at John Lewis
Ninja Crispi FN101UKGY
Average price in the past six months: £153
Cheapest price in the past six months: £105*

- Oven type
- Single cooking zone
- 30 x 29 x 35cm (HxWxD)
We like: It's quick
We don't like: It's not the easiest to clean
This is an unusual design for an air fryer.
It consists of an innovative plastic air frying lid (that Ninja calls the PowerPod) that clips onto the supplied glass cooking containers. Two sizes are provided in the box, each with its own Tupperware-type lid so you can get your pre-prepped food straight out of the fridge and onto the table without making more washing up, or even take it on the go. There’s also a size adapter to make the air fryer lid fit the larger dish, and two crisper plates.
Its maximum cooking capacity (using the larger container) is 1kg - on the smaller side for air fryers we’ve tested, but big enough for generous portions for a couple.
Find out if the portable concept is a boon or a bust with our Ninja Crispi FN101UKGY review.
AEG LFSR74144UD
Average price in the past six months: £813
Cheapest price in the past six months: £598*

- Freestanding
- 10kg cottons capacity
- White
We like: Great rinse and powerful spin
We don't like: Not the speediest
The enormous reduction on the full price of this washing machine at John Lewis made us do a double-take - it's rare to see such a huge (and genuine) drop in the price of these appliances.
This machine is part of AEG's ProSteam line, which means if your items don’t need a full wash, you can use the Steam Refresh cycle. The 12 wash programs cover the typical cycles like cottons, synthetics and delicates, but you can also choose from more specialised options for fabrics like woollens or outerwear. There’s a 20-minute quick wash for smaller 3kg loads too.
AEG can produce some great washing machines, our AEG LFSR74144UD review reveals if this is one of them.
John Lewis JLFFD2064X
Average price in the past six months: £779
Cheapest price in the past six months: £399*

It's currently reduced to clear at £399 at John Lewis.
- Freestanding
- Frost-free freezer
- Silver finish
We like: Reversible door
We don’t like: Veg dries out a bit in the drawer
John Lewis claims that the JLFFD2064X is ‘ideal for those who want to cut down on time spent food shopping’ because it uses space ‘efficiently’ to ensure food stays ‘fresher for longer’.
This stainless steel freestanding fridge freezer has five shelves to store chilled favourites and four racks in the door. The freezer also has two drawers for your frozen goods, and clear front panels make checking on your food easy.
A reversible door gives you extra flexibility when planning the layout of your kitchen, as you're not restricted on where you place the fridge freezer in your home.
The full John Lewis JLFFD2064X review reveals if this fridge freezer solves your food waste problems.
Numatic Henry Quick HEN.100
Average price in the past six months: £272
Cheapest price in the past six months: £198*
- Bagged cordless handstick vacuum cleaner
- 1 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 3.3kg
We like: Cleans well with a full dust container
We don't like: Poor performance on minimum power
This was the first cordless handstick offering from Numatic. The floor nozzle is an electro brush, but this model also comes with a combi tool that doubles up as an upholstery nozzle and a furniture brush.
This is a bagged vacuum, which means the dust pods will have to be regularly replaced. They can hold up to a litre of dust and debris and are made from recycled materials, according to Numatic. Pods are often less messy than a dust container when it comes to emptying, so this might be a good option if you suffer from dust related allergies.

Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute
Average price in the past six months: £330
Cheapest price in the past six months: £276.91*

- Bagless and cordless stick vacuum cleaner
- 0.9 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 2.7kg
We like: Power doesn’t drop off as it fills
We don't like: Battery life could be better
The Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute bagless vacuum has a 0.9 litre dust capacity, which is more generous than previous models like the V7 and V8, and means it won’t need to be emptied as often. It comes with two floor heads: a universal brush head and a soft roller brush that’s designed to leave hard floors super-clean.
You get an angled hinge attachment that allows the vac to reach under low furniture, and it can be used as a handheld cleaner with the combi dusting and upholstery nozzle, crevice tool or mini turbo brush. It also comes with a wall-mountable docking station and a charger.

Bosch Unlimited 9 Dual Battery BCS932BGB
Average price in the past six months: £450
Cheapest price in the past six months: £320*

- Bagless and cordless stick vacuum cleaner
- 0.5 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 3.3kg
We like: Cleans laminate well
We don't like: Poor cleaning on low power mode
The Bosch Unlimited 9 comes with an electro brush floor head with LED lights, a gap tool with an extension and a furniture brush. There’s also a built-in MicroSensor with an indicator light that, according to the manufacturer, changes colour when all the dust has been picked up. It also has a HEPA filtration system.
The dust container isn’t as generous as some, with a capacity of just 0.5 litres, but at least you won’t have to worry about buying disposable bags.

Bosch Unlimited 10
Average price in the past six months: £478
Cheapest price in the past six months: £299*

- Bagless and cordless stick vacuum cleaner
- 0.5 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 3.8kg
We like: Fast charging
We don't like: Quite heavy and bulky
The Unlimited 10 may just tick all your boxes. It's a handstick cordless vacuum cleaner from Bosch that comes with a range of accessories, including a universal floorhead, crevice nozzle and furniture brush. The vacuum tube flexes at a hinge so you can more easily get under sofas, and the floorhead has LED lights to illuminate the dirt.
It also has a quick charger to rapidly replenish the battery, but also a fairly meagre 0.5 dust capacity.
To be a Best Buy, it will need to clean effectively and be easy to use. See if it succeeds in our Bosch Unlimited 10 review.
