Best and worst ski holiday providers
Which ski holiday provider should you use for your next trip? Our survey of thousands of Which? members reveals all.

In this article
Which companies offer the most organised trips, the nicest accommodation and the best value for money? Here, we reveal satisfaction ratings for ski holiday providers that are used most by Which? members.
These reviews cover ski holidays, where at least half the trip was spent on the slopes. To read our full reviews, click on the links in the table or scroll down. For holidays with a planned itinerary and accompanied by a dedicated guide, see our best-rated escorted tour providers. Alternatively, our table of package holiday providers covers traditional beach, resort or poolside packages. For more specialist holidays, find out how companies ranked for self-guided tours, city breaks and villa holidays.
To be named a Which? Recommended Provider (WRP), companies must be highly rated in our survey. This year, we have taken extra steps to assess their treatment of customers throughout the coronavirus pandemic. We have also spoken to customers who were left out of pocket and scrutinised their refund policies for cancelled holidays.

Crystal Ski Holidays – 69%
Whether you want to stay in a chalet, hotel or self-catered apartment, Crystal provides package ski holidays in over 100 resorts across Europe and North America, and winter sports fans can fly from a choice of regional airports.
The specialist ski company received an impressive four stars out of five from customers for value for money, the same as its rival provider Inghams. However, Crystal Ski Holidays ends up 12 percentage points behind Inghams for overall customer score – skiers and snowboarders booking with Inghams are significantly more likely to be satisfied with their ski holiday and recommend the company to a friend.
Poor organisation and communication was the main bugbear for many recent Crystal customers. Several complained about the transfers to and from the airport, either because of unclear instructions, cramped conditions or long waits.
Which? verdict: It may be one of the biggest names when it comes to winter sports holidays, but Crystal Ski Holidays isn’t the best company for a break in the snow.
How we researched holiday companies
In March and April 2020, we asked Which? Connect panel members and the public to complete an online survey about their experiences of booking and going on holiday in the last two years. A ski holiday is defined as a package which includes skiing and at least one other element (e.g. accommodation, travel, car hire). We only reported on companies and star rating categories when we received at least 30 responses.
