Best Currys Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals: the best offers on laptops, TVs and washing machines

Want to bag a bargain? Currys PC World’s Black Friday deals have started. Our experts round up the best deals on TVs, laptops, stand mixers and much more.

As part of its annual Black Friday event, Currys PC World is slashing its prices, promising big discounts on everything from laptops and TVs to washing machines and stand mixers.

The retailer has also announced a Black Friday price guarantee – so if you see any product on the website cheaper on Black Friday than it is now, Currys promises to refund the price difference.

But it’s important to remember that some Black Friday bargains aren’t always as good as they seem, with items often found cheaper at other times of the year.

To save you time and money, our experts have rounded up a few of the best Currys Black Friday deals for 2019. You can also check whether these products are right for you by taking a look at our rigorous and independent reviews to find out how each product performed in our lab tests.

We’ll update this page as new offers are announced in the run-up to Black Friday.

Currys PC World Black Friday TV deals

LG OLED55C9MLB – was £1,799, now £1,299 (28% off)

We liked: precise picture, dynamic sound
We didn’t like: the slow electronic programme guide (EPG)

Like most TVs, the cost of the LG OLED55C9MLB has dropped gradually since it launched earlier this year. But this Currys Black Friday deal price is the lowest we’ve seen it, making it a great option if you’re looking for an OLED TV that won’t break the bank. But is it a nightmare to use?

Samsung QE43Q60R – was £699, now £529 (24% off)

We liked: easy to use, balanced contrast
We didn’t like: popping bass

If you’re after some top-tier tech without a massive screen, this 43-inch Samsung could be for you. It cost £899 when it launched in the spring , but the price has been dropping slowly since. We’ve spotted it for £599 before, but you’re still £20 better off with this Currys Black Friday deal. Is the picture quality good enough for you, though?

Sky NowTV Smart Box with 4K – was £49, now £24.99 (49% off)

We liked: flawless sound, excellent colours
We didn’t like: creating a NowTV account can be tedious

At £25, this Currys Black Friday deal is notable but not mind-blowing. If you’ve had your eye on a NOW TV box anyway, it’s worth snapping up. But don’t panic buy – it will probably drop to this price again later in the year.

Sky’s NowTV smart box comes with 4K support and voice search, but does it have the right suite of apps for you?

We liked: Versatile design
We didn’t like: Poor speakers

HP 14-ce – was £649, now £499 (22% off)

We liked: Its fast performance and portable design
We didn’t like: The screen and speakers

We tested a previous version of the HP 14-ce, and it performed reasonably in our tests. This latest model is essentially identical except that it has been upgraded with Intel’s latest 10th-generation processors and has a larger solid-state drive (SSD). While we haven’t tested it, improve specs point to faster performance, although whether the firm has also built on the things we weren’t so keen on is unclear.

Apple Macbook Air 2019 – was £1,099, now £985 (10% off)

We like: Beautifully designed, surprisingly impressive speakers

We didn’t like: Lack of ports makes adding devices an annoyance

Though the 2019 edition Air wasn’t a significant upgrade from 2018, it does benefit from an upgraded display and a cheaper price. Subtle touches betray Apple’s eye for quality – such as the surprisingly powerful speakers, which are among the best we’ve heard on any laptop.

Our full review reveals our verdict on other aspects, like the battery life and that shiny new display.

We like: Lightning fast performance, and a stunning design

We didn’t like: Lack of ports, plus very expensive to upgrade

With silky smooth operation and a gorgeous design, it won’t take long to capture your heart once you’ve seen it in the flesh. Currys PC World Black Friday washing machine deals

Samsung QuickDrive WW90M645OPW – was £729, now £599 (17% off)

We liked: good cottons wash, easy to use
We didn’t like: uses a lot of water

A reasonable chunk of money has been knocked off the typical price for this Samsung washing machine. It’s still by no means cheap, but if it can clean your clothes fantastically then it’s a tempting offer. It also comes with AddWash – a handy hatch that you can chuck stray socks into once you’ve started the wash cycle.

Apple 10.2 iPad (2019) – was £349, now £299 (14% off)

iPad

We liked: Fantastic screen and great speakers

Samsung Dual Cook NV66M3531BS electric oven – was £410, now £349 (14% off)

We liked: very quick to preheat
We didn’t like: the lower half of the oven can be dark when cooking with the divider

This Samsung oven offers the best of both worlds – it’s a single oven hat can be divided into two cooking zones when required. That way you can cook two dishes at different temperatures and there’s no flavour transfer.

This is a fair deal, but only if the oven does it job well. Check our review to find out more.
